Japan and guest exhibitor
I am going on a study trip to Japan!
My ceramics – and Danish crafts in general – is deeply influenced my Japanese culture, that makes it interesting to know more about Japan.
Beforehand I have read about Japanese history, especially the Mingei movement. Now I will travel to Japan to see things in real life.
I will be gone from the 24th of March to the 21st of April.
While I am in Japan Trine Bach Jakobsen will be guest exhibitor in Formuleret.
I am looking forward to exhibiting and take care of Formuleret for four weeks. I will be showing my windswept bowls. That is bowls that are thrown, altered and beaten, inspired by the sands formations by the North Sea.
Many of my bowls and objects are inspired by the sea, birds landing on the water, mussels and snail shells, worn by sand, wind and water. I am looking forward to showing this work.
I will also show functional ware in porcelain.

You can still find my ceramics in Formuleret while I am gone and the opening hours remain the same.
